APOCALYPSE JAZZ UNIT
Rick Jensen's explosive collective of jazz-punk blowers heat up the venue in a pre-Christmas meltdown of tradion and noise.
Freya Hellier (accordion) and Steve Hellier (elecronics) create an intriguing work based on the travels of a melodeon during World War Two. Mixing the acoustic and the electronic to mesmerizing effect.
A collaboration between two Linear Obsessional recording artists - Kassia Flux (vocals, violin, electronics) and Smallhaus (electronics, guitar). Having released two of the most intriguing albums this year, this unprecedented duo could well push themselves into new territories.
Harmonium and voice, mantras, indian music and extended technique from this London based, Iran born sound artist and broadcaster.
Admission is a suggested donation of £5 (although any other English bank note would be acceptable). Concert starts as soon after 3pm as possible. Tea, coffee, soft drinks, food and snacks available - you are welcome to bring your own alcohol. After the gig we retire to the The Station Hotel by Hither Green railway station, for debriefing and refreshment - all welcome to join us.
